One day at a time

One day at a time isn’t as easy as it sounds. And if you have found this post looking for answers after the loss of a child, don’t let anyone tell you any different.

We have to take it one day at a time, because that is all we can handle. If we look at the big picture of the rest of our lives without our babies, depression, grief, and darkness will overwhelm us.

But, each day we can make it through to the next is a mini victory, a flicker of light for us. Our children made us proud parents no matter how brief they were here with us, it is our turn to make them proud. Let them have the bragging rights on us for awhile. “Hey, see that strong, courageous woman there. She’s my mom.”

“It is hard to believe that the best days of your life can be the worst days of your life.”
